Blue Sky Hotel Fira , Fira (Santorini)

I had mixed feelings about this hotel. The location was perfect, right in the middle of town and very close to the bus station, but the rooms, service, and dining left something to be desired. The facilities were decent overall.

I was thrilled about the hotel, especially coming from a previous stay in Crete. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and had lovely windows on the door. The hotel was cheaper, which made the booking even more exciting in advance. However, being placed below the dining area during breakfast was a bit inconvenient despite the welcoming service.

Upon arrival, I was informed that my room was not available until the next day and was taken to a different hotel far from town. The following morning, I was told there was no room for the week but assured I was being taken to a 'nice hotel,' only to find myself at one of the poorest hotels in Fira with a twin room lacking a balcony. It was frustrating to discover that Blue Sky Hotel would overbook and then place guests in cheaper accommodations, as indicated by the multiple bookings received by the subpar hotel I was lodged in. However, they did offer a complimentary transfer to the port the next morning to make up for the inconvenience experienced on the first night, though the lack of an available room and the substandard choices provided left much to be desired. Showering became a significant hassle, particularly at night when no staff were present at the front desk to address concerns.

However, the service left much to be desired, with reception women asking for 140 Euros upfront and consistently lying about available rooms and overbooking. Dining was a passable experience, with the breakfast mostly pre-made. The facilities were lacking, and I was unfortunately shuffled around multiple accommodations due to overbooking.
