Reviews and Ratings
The Blue Sky Hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were fantastic with a large balcony and excellent breakfast options, better than our previous hotel in Crete. However, the service was problematic, with staff lying about room availability and causing unnecessary stress during our stay. On the upside, the location was superb, close to the center and with a convenient store nearby, but the dining experience left much to be desired in the basement of the hotel.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms to the rear side of the premises at the neighboring hotel were of good size with fabulous air conditioning, cleaned every day, and we had fresh towels daily. However, the dining setup was a bit confusing and not very satisfying. The location was convenient but slightly distant from the downtown area.
My experience at Blue Sky Hotel was a rollercoaster. The room situation was a mess with constant changes and disappointments, but the service ultimately saved the day. The location proved to be convenient, but the dining options left much to be desired.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were no longer available due to an ATV accident, but they come with a kettle and fridge, making the stay comfortable and clean. The service was pretty rude, especially when I questioned not getting the room I booked, and they checked us in at a nearby hotel without prior notice. The location is great, very close to the bus station, but a little far from downtown with all the shops and restaurants. The dining was very basic and need to be improved, not offering much variety. Overall, the hotel had its ups and downs.
My stay at Blue-Sky-Hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The location is great, close to the center and bus station, with a local convenience store almost at the doorstep. However, the service left a lot to be desired, causing unnecessary stress during my trip. The dining options were extremely poor, but the hotel does offer vegetarian and vegan dishes, which was a plus.
I had mixed feelings about this hotel. The location was perfect, right in the middle of town and very close to the bus station, but the rooms, service, and dining left something to be desired. The facilities were decent overall.
I was thrilled about the hotel, especially coming from a previous stay in Crete. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and had lovely windows on the door. The hotel was cheaper, which made the booking even more exciting in advance. However, being placed below the dining area during breakfast was a bit inconvenient despite the welcoming service.
Upon arrival, I was informed that my room was not available until the next day and was taken to a different hotel far from town. The following morning, I was told there was no room for the week but assured I was being taken to a 'nice hotel,' only to find myself at one of the poorest hotels in Fira with a twin room lacking a balcony. It was frustrating to discover that Blue Sky Hotel would overbook and then place guests in cheaper accommodations, as indicated by the multiple bookings received by the subpar hotel I was lodged in. However, they did offer a complimentary transfer to the port the next morning to make up for the inconvenience experienced on the first night, though the lack of an available room and the substandard choices provided left much to be desired. Showering became a significant hassle, particularly at night when no staff were present at the front desk to address concerns.
Upon arrival, my experience at the hotel was a rollercoaster of surprises. The room did not meet the advertised criteria, lacking basic amenities like a kettle, and the 'pool view' turned out to be just a glimpse from a balcony. The promised soundproofed walls were a disappointment as noise easily seeped in. After being informed my room wasn't available until the next day, I was moved to a different hotel that was far from town. The following day, despite being told there was no room for the week, I was assured I was being taken to a 'nice hotel,' only to end up at one of the poorest accommodations in Fira. The twin room I was offered was without a balcony and located down some dimly lit stairs with no windows, making it a truly disappointing start to my stay.
My experience at the Blue Sky Hotel had its ups and downs. The location was ideal, being close to the center and bus station, with just enough room for about 10 sunbeds. However, the service left much to be desired, with reception women asking for 140 Euros upfront and consistently lying about available rooms and overbooking. The dining options were quite poor, offering only basic breakfast items. On the bright side, the rooms were decent, though not the ones I initially booked.
My experience at the hotel was a rollercoaster. Initially told my room wasn't available until the next day, then transferred to another distant hotel without a balcony. Eventually taken to what seemed like one of the poorest hotels in Fira, also lacking a balcony. Blue Sky apparently takes bookings, places guests in cheaper hotels, and pockets the difference. The service, with the exception of a disgruntled cleaning lady, was decent. The location is fantastic, close to the center and bus station, though it's important to note it's in Fira, not 3 km away. Dining was a passable experience, with the breakfast mostly pre-made. The facilities were lacking, and I was unfortunately shuffled around multiple accommodations due to overbooking.
The Blue Sky Hotel was a pleasant stay overall. The rooms were clean and had all the necessary amenities, making our stay comfortable. The service started off friendly but had some lapses. The hotel's location was convenient for exploring the surrounding areas. The dining options were limited but acceptable. The facilities provided added value to our stay.
I had a mixed experience at Blue Sky hotel. The rooms were of a good size with fabulous air conditioning and cleaned every day, but the hotel's practice of booking guests into cheaper accommodations while keeping the price difference was disappointing. The location was brilliant, close to the center and bus station, with a local convenience store nearby, but the hotel lacked proper dining options, offering minimal and tasteless breakfast. The service was pleasant overall, with some downsides in terms of room availability and the attitude of the reception staff.
I stayed at the Blue Sky Hotel, and it was quite a mixed experience. The rooms were spacious and equipped with a bed, large bedroom, fridge, and kettle, but the location was a bit of a walk from Fira town. The service had its highs and lows, with some staff members being very nice and driving us to another location, while others were unhelpful, gave wrong information, and even attempted to move us to another hotel. The location was decent, within walking distance to most places but a bit far from the main town. The dining experience was skippable with limited variety, and the facilities were average.
The hotel is in a brilliant location, very close to the centre station and bus station, with a local convenience store almost on the doorstep. The room had some issues with smells and flooding after showering, but the location is a definite plus.
